PARTENERSHIPS

CEEPUS P ROGRAMME

CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is a regional programme for academic mobilities running in Central and Eastern Europe since 1993. Romania joined it in 1998. Starting with 2005-2006, the programme is running following the Agreement CEPUS II having as priorities the objectives for the higher education of Statement of Bologna.

The activities inside CEPUS II are: universitary and postuniversitary stages, stages for students, teaching stages for teachers.

Ovidius University is part of the interuniversitary network CII-AT-0063-04-0809 “Applications and diagnostics of electric plasmas”, starting with 2000. Co-ordinator for Ovidius University is dr. Rodica Vladoiu, Associate professor..

ERASMUS PROGRAMMME

Set up in 1987, Erasmus is the most important programme for education and professional forming in European Union, concerning the mobility and co-operation at higher education level, in Europe. Its activities are designed for students wishing to study and work abroad, for teachers and other categories of staff, even from industry, wishing to teach abroad and also, professional forming for university staff. The programme also supports the universities to co-operate in intensive programmes, academic networks, multi-actors projescts, even bonds with the bussines area

ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF CHEMISTRY (SChR)- CONSTANTA BRANCH

The branch Constanta of the Romanian Society of Chemistry was set up in december 2002 having at that moment 16 members. In March 2003 the Committee was elected and the number of its member continuously grew since, at present reaching 130, teachers from university and secondary schools, former students working in industry.

The activities of the Romanian Society of  Chemistry- Constanta branch are the following:

-meeting and roundtables organized by the teachers form university and secondary education

-organizing the county olimpiads of chemistry, local scientific meetings (e.g. “The Man. The Environment. The pollution”), national and international conferences

– preparing the pupils for the National Olimpiad of Chemistry

Starting with 2005, a bi-annual journal is published: “The Universe of Chemistry” (ISSN 1841-186X), edited by the Constanta Brach of SChR, were articles are written by teaching staff and students in chemistry

ROMANIAN ASSOCIATION OF SPECIALISTS FROM FOOD INDUSTRY- CONSTANTA BRANCH (A.S.I.A.R)

In 22nd February 2010, at the Ovidius University, the meeting for the setup of the Constanta branch of A.S.I.A.R took place. The number of participants was 60: teaching staff from Ovidius University, postgraduate students and specialists from the food industry and research ( S.C. Dobrogea Group S.A., SC. Dobrogea Biscuit SRL., SC. RO-Credo SRL, S.C.Elda Mec SRL, Research center for vine and wine Murfatlar, S.C. Braun Union Romania, Sanitary and Veterinary Inspectorate Constanta).

ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF PHYSICS DE FIZICĂ – SRF – BRANCH CONSTANTA

The branch Constanta of SRF was setup in March 2010 and has now 80 members. Before March 2010, SRF –Constanta was a subsidiary of Bucharest Branch.

The objectives of SRF-Constant are:

–          to represent and promote the professional interests of the regional community of physicists;

–          to militate for the development of education and research in Physics in order to stimulate and strenghten the national and international collaboration;

–          to contribute to the recognition of Romanian physisits by organizing and taking part in the scientific conferences and by offering grants and diplomas

ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (S.I.C.R) BRANCH CONSTANTA

The Romanian Society of Chemical Engineering (S.I.C.R) was setup in 1995, as a technical-scientific  and non- profit organization.

The S.I.C.R. has the following objectives:

a)      To represent and sustain the scientific, professional and social interests of its members against the research authorities, state institutions and employers;

b)      To contribute at forming, specialization , collaboration and cooperation of specialists in industry, universities, research and design companies in chemical engineering and related fields;

c)      To sustain education, research, design and industrial activity in chemical engineering and related fields.

d)     To organize colloqia, communications, conferences, national and international congresses and alsoanniversaries or comemorations related to the SICR status.

e)      To liaise and promote cooperation with other associations in the country and from abroad and to sustain the participation of Romanian specialists in national and international conferences

f)       To draw-up studies, research works, prognoses, standard proposals, specific management and marketing methodologies, legislation proposals in the SICR activity area.

g)      To sustain the entrepreneurship of its memebers

h)      To sustain by specific means the development and modernization of chemical, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industry in Romania

In Constanta, a subsidiary of SICR- Bucharest Branch  was setup in 2012, with 17 members (teaching staff and postgraduates members) which is developing now to become a branch.
